Are you familiar with that feeling of being pushed over the edge? The feeling of the inevitable change and fate? I think it’s one of the most exciting and also one of the scariest feelings to experience. It’s exactly like you are jumping into the pool or a very deep sea. Hence the saying When it gets scary to jump, that’s exactly when you jump. Also, it’s my life motto.
I have been pushed over the edge so many times in my life and it’s one of the things that makes me believe in a higher power aka the Universe. I believe it’s one of the most profound ways to know that there is some energy more powerful than all of us. Jumping into the unknown is the best and fastest way to experience change and usually these kinds of moments are exactly what makes you transform the most and make so many great experiences and learn valuable lessons. Usually, when we go against ourselves for so long, thinking that this is all there is, or like in my case shredding myself to digestible pieces to fit and squeeze into narratives, norms and expectations of the society, family and my favourite just because it has to be that way , all this will come to a breaking point, because there is a limit in accepting less than what we deserve and who we really are. Learning about ourselves and our conditioning is one of the most painful but also most rewarding things we can do for ourselves.
This process is not about the luxuries and masking our pain with expensive stuff, it’s the raw experience of getting to strip away everything that we are not in order to uncover our true nature beneath. Chasing material stuff always paints a certain picture in my head: it’s like dangling something in front of our eyes as a sort of distraction from what we really need; recognition. Recognizing our pain, our setbacks, toxic traits, where we beat ourselves the most and then helping others do the same. This is what we should be about. Not the endless scrolling and comparing.
But, after all the digging and facing, there comes a time where you are being called to stand up for yourself and do better. Choose better. And we must answer that call. Because my mantra is that staying in one place is much more expensive than it is to move and constantly evolve. You don’t have to do much in order to evolve, the least you can do is give yourself grace, time and rest when needed. Because even working on yourself requires breaks.
So, to wrap it up, if you ever recognize the calling of your soul to jump into something new, even if you don’t know what it is or how will you land – do it, because without trusting we only have fears. And fears are very, very dangerous. Even more dangerous than jumping into the new things. So, when it gets scary to jump, that’s exactly when you jump! Trust yourself, trust your soul, trust the Universe. It always catches you. I’m scared as hell, but mama taught me to have courage. Because courage is so, so, so important. I’d say you need a pair of balls, but we all know that ovaries are much more powerful. Charge!!
