The other day I asked myself a very interesting question: if you could do anything in the world right now, without any obstacle in your way, completely free, what would you do? My answer was quick and easy: move to Scotland and do what I love.
By the way, almost all my favourite countries begin with S: Scotland, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, South Korea, Singapore… very interesting pattern. And being so lucky and blessed by the Universe I got to see all of them many times. Sometimes I wonder was that in a past life or this one, because I managed to squeeze immense experience in just 33 years of age. I have travelled the world; I have gained so much experience that almost any room I walk into cannot compete. This is not to toot my own horn, but it’s just an acknowledgement of my experience and how far I came. It serves more like a reminder not to let other people drag me down. And this is a reminder for anyone who might stumble upon my post – know your worth and never allow other people to drag you down.
The reason why I asked myself that question from the first paragraph is that I constantly think that I am moving away from the things I want and they always kind of slip away. My whole life has been one waiting game, waiting for the opportunity, waiting for things to develop and most of the times they do, but not in the way I wanted or pictured exactly. It usually plays out in a better way than expected. I also want to say that most of the time we are blocking ourselves from reaching our dreams by constantly poking ourselves and expecting way too much from ourselves or the situation. For example, I went from one company to another in hopes of a better, healthier environment and I ended up in the same, if not sometimes worse environment. I expected a lot more and trapped myself. I am not trapped; it’s just an illusion. But what I want to say is that sometimes by wanting better we might accept something that is seemingly better which doesn’t have to be the case. But if you never try, you will never know, right? Welllll, I started advocating for something called: not every experience needs to be experienced. We tend to rush into new things and opportunities, but we do forget that sometimes staying still can be more beneficial than jumping right in.
So, I want you to ask yourself the same question I asked myself. If you could do anything and be anywhere right now, without any obstacle of any kind, what would you do and where would you be? And from there you can see where exactly you stand in your own life.
