This is a big one. It’s a subject that can trigger me in so many different ways. And I know this might trigger someone who truly resonates with any religion.

My take on religion is that it’s all fake. It’s man-made story that has so many twists and turns until someone decided it’s time to weaponize it. You cannot possibly tell me that major religions rely on the same guy named differently? You cannot tell me that you are buying the story of someone coming to save you? Of people rising back from the dead? I remember questioning my theology teacher in elementary school on how do dead rise from their graves, how will they walk among us? It sounded very scary to me when I was a child. And also, it sounded like a fairytale that one day a human was born from his human mother and a ghost father (?). I’m pretty sure there was no IVF back in the days. Poor woman must have been raped, so they had to say something as wild as Well, the baby daddy is the ghost.

I think the most worked book is the Bible. It has so many versions and edits that we will never know its original form. Maybe there was a philosopher who talked about life and the mystery of life more than some guy who turned water into wine. I’m pretty sure a human at any point of history wouldn’t sacrifice themselves for others in such a way and resurrect the next day! What are we even talking about? And the other guy who opens the seas so that everyone can flee? I mean come on. Be for real. Also, you mean to tell me that all these people were white. I haven’t really read other books, but I’m sure that they send the same message.

Then all of these lovely bedtime stories, are heavily edited and adjusted to the patriarchy that invented churches as literal political bodies deciding on women’s life, health and marriage. And forbidding a woman to ENTER THE CHURCH WHILST ON HER PERIOD! Because she is not clean! I beg your pardon! Also, blaming the Eve for the apple and for all we know Adam could have been gay and he could have given his ass to the snake. I mean who can prove anything? And you have people going to wars over religion, you have people saying women should cover when they enter the church or you hear people say I’m praying for you. Please don’t. God will provide; God will save us. He isn’t doing a thing darling. If you humanize your God so much, how do you explain these pdfs eating children? And other monstrosities. You can’t, because you believe your God will come and save us all. Well, let me break it to you, nobody is coming to save you. You have to save yourself.

And don’t get me started on the church. Priests are mostly men, right? And what is the most common thing happening behind the closed doors in these places? It’s paedophilia, it’s torture, blackmail of minors. And you are telling me that I should listen to the priest? I will throw fists, that’s what I will do. And also, they ride the newest cars, they are rich, they cheat on their wives, they are horrible people. Now, again not ALL of them, but most of them. And they have the audacity to come and tell me what I should or shouldn’t do. Oh, man I am so flustered.

All of this boils down to one thing: your belief system should only be yours. Between you and your chosen deity. Nobody needs to know or care. Forcing it upon someone is unacceptable and I don’t care how peaceful you think your religion is. And if we are to talk about holidays, I think these are just traditions, not necessarily a celebration of someone’s birth or resurrection. We used to worship nature and its cycles as we should, instead of some imaginary person.

This is not to say that you should think like me, but you should use your head. Question everything. Being a blind sheep is easy, it’s what the system wants. So, it uses your belief system against you.
